My new love

Is a laminator.
Nick's parents got me a Fellowes laminating machine that has made my dreams come true.
I have gone through 50+ pockets already and have laminated basically everything I am putting in my room! I have done nothing but print and laminate for days..it is a teachers dream!

I have been doing so much in my room it is not even funny.
My mom and I reorganized my back closet and all the drawers..could there be any more stuff shoved in there!?
We cleaned it out and it took FOREVER, but we got it narrowed down to what I will actually use. I took some photos but was in a hurry so forgive me for the blurry pictures!
This does NOT do this board justice at all.
It looks a little embarrassing in a photo, but I promise this is stinkin cute! Those red things are ladybugs with my kids names and the banner is multicolor chevron that says Welcome to 2nd Grade.
Just pretend this looks as adorable as I say it is!
The laminator mentioned above was hard at work for these posters.. I had something different in mind when I made these and it didn't work. They are temporarily there. The laminate looks silly in photos, but really nice in person. Again, just pretend this is as cute as I say it is. :)
That blank area is TBD..

This is right next to the door so when we are needed or a kiddo comes in late, they will know where we are at. I don't have my schedule yet and am not sure if we have specials or anything so right now I just have assembly, field trip and outside. I'll add more once I know more!
My hand signals! Right below them is my teacher chair so these will be behind me when we are at the carpet. The kids will be able to have them for reference there and I'll have another set of them at the front of the room. At least until they get the hang of the signs then I may use that space on my board for something else.
Focus on the alphabet at the top!
I had two sets of the alphabet - one in cursive and one in print. The one in print matches my color scheme so I just put them on top of eachother and it turned out SO good. I'm not done with that corkboard below (obviously) but that is where I will put my stuff.. license, diploma, family pictures..etc. I can't use any more of it because where the black stops..my desk is below and it is mounted to the ground so I cant move it!

My clip it behavior chart! I will post more about my whole system once I get it completely hammered out. I have it about 90% done to my liking! So that post should be coming soon!
I will be adding more life to this door once I have enough energy!
Writing their names on those clips was a highlight on my teacher life.
IT SUDDENLY FELT REAL!

I am strangely proud of this cupboard..
I should have taken a before picture - it is not much, but this is such an improvement!
Things are labeled and my kiddos will know where everything is! I'm being ridiculously crazy about labeling things for whatever reason.
I'm sure halfway through the year, things will change but for now..I'm going to label like crazy!

More organizing and reorganizing to come!

Loves.
